For today's lesson I decided to talk about something different, about something that most of us encounterd at some point, for a big period of time, in our lifes. School. The sentance I have to debate is "The main function of a school should be to prepare students for life, not for study".
People spend 13 years in school (some of them more :D ) studying subjects, building blocks of informations , accumulating knowledge. All these are used by people, by us to help ourselves in future and I think this is the most important thing. Future. We need school for future and by future I mean life. It is true that we are going to learn something new everyday until the end of our lives but it's not going to be the same thing. If the school prepares you for further studying then what do you do after you finish it. We have to be able to build our own life and to learn from people who've already done it, our teachers.
So..I guess you already know that I agree with THE SENTANCE because it makes more sense to me.School is the best place to learn about life and teachers are the best people to help you with that, after parents.
